"Jerry Parker did a great job. He replaced cable which was a little frayed, tightened track bolts and lubricated fittings. He also gave me maintenance tips for the future. The reason for Four stars, I thought the price was too high for the work performed and an hours time - $357. "

"Technician was on time, professional, and efficient. He explained the work that needed to be done. Garage door was repaired (fixed the door cable on one side). So far, so good. I've asked about the hourly rate on the phone and the technician on site about how much time will be required for the repair. I never got an answer. Apparently, this company charges a flat rate for each problem - not by the hour, not by the job. And there is an additional service charge of $49.50 - no matter what. So, in the end it took 30 minutes to fix the one cable - easy job, no parts required. And that cost $400 - a whopping $800 per hour! Oh, and yes, did I mention: plus $49.50 service charge .. whatever that means. Anyway, I got suckered - but I promise I will not be suckered again - at least not by this company."

"I found your company in the Yellow Pages and called to set up an appointment to have my garage door spring replaced. I was quoted a $49 service charge for the trip. The technician showed up on time and he was courteous and professional and the door works smoothly. I was surprised however that I had to pay the service charge even though the cost of the repair and overhaul was $750. I would have thought that this would have been a credit towards the repair. Also he was unable to get one of the tracks off to replace the rollers and he had to bend it and then used a hammer to try to return it to the proper shape. This track needs to be replaced as it wasn't bent before it was worked on. If not for the fee and the track being damaged I would have given five stars."

"Your tech (Rick D) was very professional. However, he keep quoting me differ prices. It started from $336 to $985. I not sure if the price was right. The garage door seem to be working Ok at this point. Rick did say - His timing and professional profile was around 85%. To rate your services at this point - I would rate it about 75%"
- Margie Hines

Response from Pat -

Ricks intentions was to give you multiple options to repair your door.Garage door parts are rated in cycles- meaning every time you open and close your door, it is a cycle. New garage doors typically have parts that begin to fail or reach their "END OF LIFE" after 3-5 years. Your door will be noisier as the parts wear. The wearing of these parts can also break your automatic garage door opener. If your door is over 5 years old, it could require a total overhaul which is the $950 price. If a client gets an overhaul, the warranty is LIMITED LIFETIME.The lower option- $336 which is a SPOT repair. The spot repair is just replacing the broken parts. This is not the best solution as it is highly likely your garage door will need service again.a third option examines the parts and recommends replacing other worn parts that may be directly related to failed parts. The pricing would fall in the middle between spot repair and overhaul.

"Your advertising work as I called you first. You indicated that you special in cables and roller repairs. I was told it would cost $49.95 to adjust the door and the cable tensions of no parts were needed and it was a free estimateover the phone. Andy arivbed and said no. I was quoted over $200 for new parts. For just the adjustment it was $150 with no guarantee. Andy adjusted the door in under 15 minutes, and it cost me $150 with NO NEW PARTS."
- will erdman

Response from Pat -

Sorry there seemed to be a misunderstanding over the phone. Our calls are recorded for quality assurance. After reviewing, our CSR clearly stated that there would be a 25 point safety inspection for the $49.95.Any parts purchased includes labor, and if there are any labor charges, they would be determined by the technician based on the work required to repair the doors. Andy charged for rehanging your cables at your request for a service that is market rate. There is no warranty as the door clearly needed new parts to perform properly.Your feedback is appreciated and we have asked our CSR's to be more clear that No labor is performed for the service charge.

"The tech was on time and polite. The problem I had he stated the spring was 169 dollars plus the service call. When the bill was presented after approximately 45 minutes at my home he stated I needed two springs and charged me 338 dollars just for the springs. Two was never mentioned until I received the bill.I appreciated the punctuality of the company. Future garage door work will be shopped with other businesses."

"The service provided was fine. My complaint is about the cost. Yes, I didn't have to have the service performed, but I needed to have the door fixed and it was too late to call anyone else. The cost was over $400 for a spring adjustment and lubrication, plus putting in a new button to open the door ($125). For the time spent (less than 30 minutes), this is excessive. I won't use your service again."

"Great tech guy....friendly phone girl...pricing was the only issue. ..Told one price over the phone...got a whole new price when te h showed up not what i had expected. .The repair was as described. .Nothing different. ..Except the pricing that was given...could be more upfront....not trying to up sell when they get to your house would earn them a better name...nice people just need better understanding of what the customer expects"

I appreciate the feedback. The people that answer the phone do not know what can be wrong with a garage door. Upselling is not what the technician does; He evaluates the age and condition of parts that effect the performance of the garage door. The customer has the option to get a spot fix or choose a more substantial repair.
